The feature length documentary of IN MY MIND (directed by Gary Hawkins and Emily Ladue) will have a NYC screening on April 19th at the New York Public Library. This will be in conjunction with the Jazz Loft Project OVERTONE, a new group featuring Dave Holland, Eric Harland, Chris Potter and Jason Moran, will begin touring Fall 09.

Jason Moran & The Bandwagon scored a new documentary titled RFK in the Land of Apartheid: A Ripple of Hope. The film chronicles Robert Kennedy's visit to South Africa during apartheid. The September 7th premiere is at Brooklyn Academy of Music.
2009 Commissions: Moran will premiere his new commission FEEDBACK at The Monterrey Jazz Festival. The festival commissions a musician each year to create a new work, and Moran has the honor this year. Moran begins work on his first collaboration with a choreographer, Alonzo King and Lines Ballet. This new work will premiere in the fall of 2009 in San Francisco.
Joan Jonas' recent work READING DANTE is part of the 2009 Venice Biennale, located in the Arsenale. Moran composed the score.
